Michael Jackson is a more bankable star in death than he was the last few years of his life.  The late pop star’s estate has just inked a deal with Sony that could be worth $250 million.

The agreement with the estate calls for 10 albums over seven years which will included new material that has yet to be released, old material repackaged, and the soundtrack from This Is It.  Since Jackson passed away last June Sony has sold nearly 31 million Jackson albums worldwide so the $200 million guaranteed money seems like a wise investment.  Expect to see a new album later this year of unreleased work.
